About our competitions

We hold periodic poetry competitions with a prize for each competition. The amount in the cash prize may vary from time to time. This will be determined by the number of entries that we receive. The smallest amount of a cash prize will be £25.
Entries are now open for this quarter’s poetry competition.
Winners will be notified by e-mail, and will be published on this website with permission from the author. We will also publish different entries from time to time.
It is at the discretion of the members of Poetree Creations whether a poem is suitable for publication on this website that has been submitted.
We  would like the public to vote for poetry entered into the competitions we hold. You can easily vote by simply leaving your message titled MY VOTE beneath the poemm you like on the website or alternatively this can be done by sending  us an e-mail at our contact address. poetreecreations@yahoo.com Please state the title and name of the person you want to vote for. Please mark subject as MY VOTE.
Poetry will appear sometimes on the front page, that the Poetree Creations team have written. This cannot be voted for by any member of the public towards the competition. It will state if it is written by a poetree creations member.
The competition will end when we have enough poetry to enter into a competition. We will continue to do this every three months, as long as we can have the continued support from creative writers who would like to enter our competitions.
Any written work submitted to this website is done so at the authors own risk. Poetree Creations will not be responsible for any copyright infringement. The author who submits any written work to this website retains the sole copyright  to the work.  Any written work submitted for competitions must be your own creative written work.
You may submit more than one poem at a time but only one will be entered into the competition, the others will be placed into  Poets corner. There is not one particular theme to our competitions. We would like you to create your own themes. Although from time to time we may ask for an occasional theme. This could be Easter, or Mothers day, that you may wish to contribute to.
If you would like to send a poem towards a birthday celebration for someone, please feel free to do so. It will still count towards the competition.
