Poetree Creations was created from a business idea when Gillian and Thomas attended a business course.
It was decided that it was the wrong time to start a business,due to the economic climate at that time.
We were disappointed as we had put alot of effort into this.We sought different advice from various
groups and organizations,including the voluntry sector. After careful consideration members agreed
that it would be in the interest of Poetree Creations,to set up a website.
The website was designed with the help and support of a friend.We still had little money available at
this time and used every penny we had.This was March 2009.
We are all amazed at how quick Poetree Creations has grown and develped,like the logo of the tree
the branches are developing into so many different activities.
Since March 2009 over 100 people have submitted poetry to our website.The figures are growing
daily and we are now receiving alot of constructive criticism.
We are always looking for new members to join us and to be proactive in our activities.
We need members to help with promotional work,and people who have knowledge of website design.
Our future projects include having a poetry exhibition,to be held monthly.We also aim to have a monthly
mic-night.
Our January poetry workshop will involve a working rap session,where we will be involving youngters in the local
