Keyworth School until 13years old finished my education at Lutterall Secondary Modern West Bridgford. Started my working career working on the ground staff at Nottingham Forest and played in their youth team, I played for Mansfield youth team and played one match in their reserves against Reading.
I got married in 1962 to Iris and we have four wonderful children two of who are twins, 1

I was self employed for a few years as a Landscape gardener, worked on a farm,
I then moved on to work for Securicor a security company, and when I left I was branch manager. From there I was a Forman working for Ashworth Kirk in Colwick Nottingham for 5 years. I then became operations manager at Media Communication at Sandiacre I was then made redundant. I then joined Nottingham Trent University in 1986 as a security officer and then retired after 21 years service as a supervisor.
I have been writing poems since 1968 and have over 500; I am now working to have them published. I with my wife are involved with Beaconsfield Spiritualist Church as President and my wife as Vice President for over 25 years, we also work as mediums serving churches throughout the area, a lot of my poems have been inspired within this environment.
