The Manners Collection: Excerpts

ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS:

I was in Mr Greens field

Eating all his lettuce

It was a sunny day

I was enjoying my scrumptious meal

when I noticed my sister rabbit

Across the field waving farewell,

I will never ever forget

No matter how many carrots I eat,

The pure dirtiness

Of her hands and feet,

My mother and father

Have always taught us,

To keep our hands clean

Before eating and after playing,

And before we went to bed

My father said

“Be a good rabbit and wash your hands,

Then you will always stay white and

bright

All through the day and night”

BODY ODOUR:

It came to my attention

That the giraffe I was sitting next to

Smelt rather odd

DIZZY THE DUCK:

Dizzy the ducks mum decided that

All her ducklings were too fat

Maybe if she could get them to swim…

EAT YOUR FRUIT AND VEG:

Sometimes I have alot of food

On a very large plate,

Sometimes I cannot wait

To eat my fruit and veg

SAY PLEASE:

I am the family pet

Who can get very upset

When I see

Children without any manners…

PLEASE DON’T SPIT:

I am Susie the pig

And I think it is rude to spit…

DON’T BE A BULLY:

I suppose one might think

Because I’m big

Because I’m a giraffe

Who is very tall…

HAVE YOU BRUSHED YOUR TEETH YET

I rubbed my eyes

As I jumped out of bed,

“Brush your teeth “

My mother said

I opened my curtains wide,

I could not believe my eyes

I saw a very large frog

Absolutely full of spots…
